Okay. Yesterday, due to the crappy weather and the fact that my wife was integrated at work (and there was no one to watch me while writing), I managed to get to the episode in which Masters cured a serial killer. Currently the strongest accent in the series. And the rest will go away. I have heard a lot of bad, but as it happens - IMO exaggerated. Nevertheless, I agree that after the eighth season, the series should be left alone.

The last [22] episode was great, after the Klan-like stagnation it was interesting again.

What are you talking about? Against the background of the whole veeeeery bad season the ending is really good. I dare say that it gives some hope for a decent ending to the series. The last scenes give a positive impetus for the new season. And for the first time, it is completely unknown what the next episodes will look like.

I wrote perversely - the ending is fine, so they should end there. For me, this is a worthy ending to the series. "And happy ever after".
An old series gimmick is that the situation changes for several episodes, and then returns to normal (this season to break up, previous to the final return to work).
Spoilers
My guess is - House on vacation, a few episodes will be there, life in Princeton-Plainsboro will continue, probably a search for a new House will take place. Cuddy will not be present, but there have been episodes before where she has been for a minimum amount of time.

Agree that this season finale would have been a good ending to the show, if only the episode itself for the middle 35 minutes had been better. Well, the ending is just Hous's style and they could leave it that way. They would even have an open door to a potential spin-off "House P.D." (private detective) in Hawaii.

Oh yes, what are they planning better for season 8; kill him or make a happy ending? Both would be clich�.

So what's the problem? You treat this season finale as the last episode and don't watch it further.

It's still quite a series by public television standards, but it changed from an undisputed phenomenon to a minor one three years ago.

I don't know, I haven't seen it. But honestly, the best ending to the season for me was the end of the fifth series - an absolute masterpiece. And that made me stop watching House right after - the level of the sixth season after such a horny ending of the predecessor was so weak for me that I preferred to skip it.

That's why for me "House" has only 5 seasons, and then some spin-offs fly

I must admit that the medical case from the 7th season finale was the first that interested me in this series for a long time

And the main character's story was - finally - sensational. I want to wait for season 8 and I keep my fingers crossed for it to be the last one. And I do not believe in going back to the previous patterns of each episode. It would be a blow below the belt. The final of the seventh season is going to the final straight in my opinion. May it prove to be true.
