In fact, if someone did not imagine that it would just be a ride around post-apocalyptic America with killing zombie herds in each episode - then he may even like this series more

What bothers me is not a bad scenario (it's good), not bad acting, just the plot as a whole. It presents not the fate of heroes, but ordinary people who are trying to start living anew after the apocalypse. They don't want to save the world, fight for a Better Tomorrow and the return of the American Dream. They want to survive, which does not have to equal the fact that in order to do so, they have to kill all the zombies, save the president and democracy at the last minute
I would prefer a more epic story. With more panache than previous adventures, a group of people connected only by the will to survive. So that it leads to something, maybe to this fight for American democracy

And so we have quite a specific (due to the circumstances of nature) drama series. Perhaps this proves its originality?
Every time you take one path, you must live with the memory of the other: of a life left unchosen.
