The last season of LOST is preparing a lot of surprising surprises. If you believe the spoilers "released" on the web, the "return" of the heroes who have "passed away" so far is being prepared. Apparently nothing surprising: these "maneuvers" with time in the previous season are even an open gate (and as, in the meantime, J.J. Abrams showed in Star Trek, well-known motifs can still be squeezed and served). It is a pity that you have to wait so long for the premiere.

So far I have watched LOST quite regularly, I liked it quite a lot, but the last season of AXN was tired of me. I lost one episode, then another, and got completely lost. In addition, they overdid the plot, with the next puzzles, secrets, etc., giving too little explanation of the older puzzles. I was just bored with LOST. Overall, I liked the finals of the penultimate season. Then only Ben and his plot suited me. And recently the whole thing somehow sat down.

Season 5 is over with a BIG BOOM. And only mixed feelings remained. The start of the series was bland and the journey through time was tiring. I even got the impression that the series was going nowhere, there was no keynote. It got more interesting when the action went to 1977 (by the way, a great year) and kept the level until the end. Extra were the Jacob inserts. I agree that the "statue shadow faction" (Witmore again?) Or Jacob and his enemy have been unnecessarily introduced. Unless the authors have something else up their sleeve. Another thing is that the Lock / non-Lock issue did not really take me on. I'm more interested in Shepard and the co. We'll see how it all ends.

Considering that the actor playing the pilot of Flight 815 returns to the cast, I would not be surprised if the last series began on board the said plane, with some / all passengers remembering what happened. The downside to this concept - what about Jacob and the other Lock? Their clash, theoretically, should not take place then.

And the fact that the actors don't really care what the sixth season is about anymore ...

Anyway, the "games" will eventually end so that ... It is unknown how. Probably weird. Were it not for the figure of Jacob and his Opponent, I would bet that as a result of these temporal "stories" it was the shipwrecks themselves of the unfortunate flight of the Oceanic line who went back in time and it was they who discovered the island at the dawn of its history and something got mixed up there. But it's also unbelievable, a clunky excuse like any other that comes to mind.

The last season will have to be watched, because maybe this series - as a whole - will come out either with a big spell or a masterpiece.

I guess you understand after the first episode, I can tell you, but it might be a bad thing.

The heroes' theory of what would happen after the bomb went off made sense, which of course only means that it certainly won't. : P
And Jacob said before he burned down that they were coming back.

My theory: Those who traveled back in time will return to the first plane that will crash on the island anyway, but not at the beginning of the story, but in the "present" time (the plane will jump into the future?).

Or, the plane will crash again in the past. With all (but not necessarily) the crew and passengers, but those who traveled in time will remember the events of previous seasons ... but it's rather impossible, because Walt has already grown a bit ... hmm ...

However, I hope to be surprised. It's probably something no one has thought of, because these my theories don't make much sense when it comes to causation. : -? Anyway, I think they'll modify the past somehow, because I don't think this is the end of Jacob. His enemy seemed to be shoving him into the fire in helpless anger, because just stabbing him with a knife would be enough.

I also think Jacob will come out of this unscathed. My guess is that at the beginning of the season 5 finale, he was shown as being present in key events for some heroes. Wouldn't have been there by accident, it seems to me. Since he "fickled" here and there, maybe he predicted what happened in the 5th season finale - or assumed such a scenario. He was not at all surprised to see Nie-Lock (or FLock, as they call him on the Internet).

I see it in the way that the explosion resulted in an alternative reality in which the actions of the main characters before the catastrophe were changed (eg Sawyer does not kill this guy in the booth). And the season will start just like the first - right after the disaster. Such a reset of the whole story. At least, that was how the game Lost: Via Domus ended (the protagonist runs away from the island, a white light appears and wakes up on the beach after the catastrophe with his partner, who, however, survived).
Be the change that you wish to see in the world.

Resetting the entire history would probably make little sense. There are, after all, unfinished plots, like Claire, apparently "persuaded" by her "father" (or rather Jacob's opponent) to cooperate. So things have to happen without a (complete) reset apparently ...

Jacob's "kicking himself" does seem like looking for the right people. He must have searched, selected, and selected those who were apparently going to help repair his games in bringing people to the island. You could say that he cared about their destiny so that they would end up on the island. These could either be countermeasures taken while the Game started or taken later when he became more concerned that he might lose this time. It's hard to say. I did not follow in detail / I do not remember when and for what period Jacob was closed about the shed.

Well, what do we know about the rules of the Game and the powers of Jacob and Abocaj (this is my private, mirror name of Jacob's opponent: ->)?

* it looks like they don't get old (at least not as fast, or only when they leave the island, because they are still old after all, and you can see that Abocaj is showing signs of aging), so I don't think they are some gods. Anyway, there is already one non-aging hero.

* they are playing it not for the first time (as their conversation shows) - and if they are, then maybe they are locked in some time loop, most likely not completely influenced by causation
(hehe, an island that is beyond causality, would allow the story to be stretched on these less probable tracks), probably after the end of the Game, everything will return to normal and two gentlemen will start over (unless this time one (both?) of them dies, which is most likely).
* they are mortal, but one cannot kill the other by himself - this is a strange rule. They are mortal, and yet they cannot decide it that way.
* they seem to have some powers (Abocaj's change of character) and insight into Jacob's different timelines ("they are back") and his movement of objects with his thoughts.
So they are some kind of god after all? "Good and Evil. Black and White":?: Or rather ordinary mortals who can just almost perfectly use the powers provided by the island? I would opt for the second. And if it is ...

Abocaj would have killed Jacob on the spot if he could. But he couldn't. One conclusion that can be drawn is that both of them have an honorary culture of following some code of conduct. Manipulation yes, but never descend to blows;)
It seems more likely, however, that someone else makes the rules, that they are not the gods and the most important persons here, they are not behind everything ...
because we still have a Monster - a god, a demon, or maybe an Artificial Intelligence controlling nanomachines?

I write and write and new thoughts come to me! Sorry if it turns out a bit chaotic, but this is the first time I really think about it.

And where did the island come from, that you can travel back in time, move ...
from where, if not from the very future, where such technology (and nanotechnology) could arise. I had a theory that they were all from the future - maybe they had escaped from a crumbling world, or maybe they were doing research and stuck in the time loop I mentioned. In any case, nano-SI can tolerate them while being generally independent.
Or all of them are trying to solve the problem of returning to their time, and each of them has a slightly different point of view. The feud between Jacob and his enemy may be, for example, personal, and not a match between good and bad, as some have suggested. Finally, it was the AI ??itself that, as it were, grew out of control. Jacob's telekinetic abilities could also be explained on the plane of its evolution in humans in the distant future.

In general, the time loop may not allow one of them to kill the other (this one would reappear at the beginning of the cycle), but introducing external factors from the usual continuum can consolidate the change. It is imaginary, but this is how it is with the fantastic elements in sf.

Forgive these crazy deliberations, but somehow it came to me ...: P
Now it remains to wait for the next season and watch them undermine everything I have written

MORT, we can make a mistake assuming logical solutions :)

Has anyone seen the pilot yet? I haven't yet and I'm afraid to visit thematic forums so as not to burn myself with any better surprises. So, if anyone has seen it, please write as incomprehensible as possible so as not to burn the beginning of the end :)

And the sixth season will make its debut at AXN in the spring, that is before the final in the USA (May 25).
