The Belgariada series and its continuation, Malloreon by David Eddings.
Great books, interesting, with interesting action and characters, full
humor - to this day I remember a few scenes where I cried about
laughter; The first volume is The Pawn of Prophecy, I reached for it
centuries ago it was completely by accident and I was drawn to a pretty couple
years. I recommend!

The series "Otori Tales" by Lian Hearn is so feudal
Japan, shoguns, samurai and the Tribe of assassins, climates such as
in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" more or less, though there were
China, it seems. Duels, battles, intrigues, love plots, a bit
magic, well-drawn characters, dark atmosphere, specters,
restrained Japanese style, everything you need, maybe except humor,
of which there is little.

I personally recommend Eric Van Lustbander's pearl series. Well written,
addictive books. With a multi-threaded and unpredictable storyline. Interesting connection
sf and fantasy, well-drawn "human" characters and not beating around the bush-
the world presented is full of violence and sex, dripping with all kinds
abominations and perversions. And the theme of the main character, turned into
a woman, a race humiliated by her countrymen, intriguing to say the least. Hot
I recommend!

I will add "With One Spell". I read it great, and subtle humor
created an incredible atmosphere.

And, of course, the "Saga of the Ice People", with perhaps 47 volumes; Very
interesting books, which are a combination of fantasy, historical and adventure novels
and customs, which tells about the fate of the Ice Men clan over several hundred
years (the action begins in the fourteenth century and ends in the early 1990s.

Polecam w ogóle książki ze Świata Dysku, ze względu na dużo nieco
przewrotnego humoru w stylu Monty Pythona. Cykl parodiuje klasyczną
literaturę fantasy, ale też są wyraźne nawiązania do innych książek,
filmów, krajów (Klatch - Arabia, Indie. Imperium Agatejskie - Chiny,
Japonia) oraz ludzi (magowie - księża)

I don't know if anyone has recommended it anymore, but recently I read quite new and quite
not bad "on the edge of the iron" and earlier "on the knife edge" of Zamboch. It's great
she reads, light and pleasant books, I recommend it for long winter evenings.

No one has mentioned Walter Moers ("The City of Dreaming Books") so far. This is not a classic fantasy, but the world is absolutely fantastic, and the book is really worth recommending.

Once upon a time, in the ancient era, I was around 13 and accidentally
I used "The Nine Princes of Amber" and Zelazny's "Avalon Rifles". Standing in
my parents' library, and I actually thought I was picking up another one
crime fiction, because I was reading them to death. I read them and ...
I fell in. Note that this was published in 1989 (I read it somewhere in
1992-3), and the Amber series has not lost any of its freshness to this day. It is
just my all time hit!
As I have already found out that my mom's opinions about "dad's stupid books" are
painfully harmful, I started right away and started s-f.
From the last items, I simply recommend Weeks's Shadow Path, the Scouts series
Flangan (and what, both for teenagers?) And Bishop's Black Stones trilogy. Yeah
the last one a bit horror, leave it for the end ok? because you can get tired.
Rather for girls (according to me the way of showing the heroes remarkably from the side
women).
AND! Read Piekary's tales about Mordimer Madderin. It's from the guy's side.
Let go of his other books.

Malazan Book of the Fallen - a miracle! (at least those books that have already come out)

And from the positions that have not yet been scored, I recommend the Dark Savior (Zamboch), Lies of Locke Lamora - Scott Lynch (I do not know if it has already been won)

Little-known DragonLance saga, why she, because when I read Harry Potter, The Witcher, Eragon and many others, I thought that there was nothing to read, especially since after reading these books (they were great) but very short, I belong to those people who like something dragging in "infinity" after the 7th part of Harry I said that I will not read anything anymore, but my friend recommended "Dragons of Spring Dawn" the first part of the trilogy that opens the entire DragonLanc saga. I once read an article in which many famous fantasy authors admitted that when writing their works they drew from DragonLanc, for example Christofer Paolini, author of "Eragon" "The oldest" "Brisingr" ... "It beats all the fantasy books I know ... I can't tell you about it so as not to spoil the effect but it's worth it. Ps. It hurts me the most to see that you only recommend books that have a movie version ...
