... so I collect opinions from different sides and I wonder how many
fantasy fans will be in this world, for example after five or ten years after the premiere of some famous book or movie..
I do not know a larger or better work on this subject, Tolkien created the world in
I live in dreams ... I mean - will the fashion for fantasy fade away? whence
suddenly so many well-read fans? it's nice that people reach for such literary ale
and so I guess in some time there will be only those who really love this one
world, I will stay, for sure ... and you?

I guess it depends. Of course, it has multiplied recently
"Sunday Tolkienists" but some of them
crumble. What - to say so. You're right -
real fans will stay. I will stay for sure - fancy
readasm for over ten years and it does not seem
that this would change.

I'm afraid most of these momentary fans will crumble, albeit on the other
some of them may remain faithful, besides - there is a chance that they will be on the wave
"Lords" will develop a fantasy film (which in my opinion is quite
an underestimated genre in the cinema - although I may be wrong), and among these films
(among the enormous amount of challah) there will be some gems and they will contribute
to the development of the species. Anyway, on the wave of popularity of the movie, it also increases
reading - and this is a chance for new items, as well as discovering those so far
underestimated. And here alone - amid a deluge of rubbish, they can appear
valuable items.
And so with one movie, the whole genre will have a chance to be big
an increase that will benefit both fans who "sit" on it for years
and those "sundays".
Or maybe I'm just an incurable optimist?

incorrect optimism ... it is a blessing in today's world ... although it can
burn yourself ... you are right in a way, maybe many will stay faithful
fantasies and others will realize that these are not only fairy tales for children but a fairy tale
a world where good wins ... it's not a pipe dream? and who is incorrect here
optimist...

Fantasy craze is undoubtedly a fashion. It will pass like many others. Those who
they slide on the surface of this phenomenon, fall off and become interested in something
new. I ... I think I will stay, although I am also rather Sunday
Tolkienist ...

I think one of these "Sunday Tolkienists" will stay
longer with fantasy.

Fantasy in the release of the movie "The Fellowship of the Ring" is a fashion, it's a pity that not in clothes.
Fashion that will get boring like Pokemon, Harry Potter and our Honorable Sapek.
Who else is reading something?

I started my love for fantasy with "Lord of the Rings" ... about 8 years
ago. It was standing on a pole and when I had nothing to read it reminded me
my mom told me it was cool.
Then I read Sapka, another mass
slime and smth good.
I broke up with fantasy, as it turned out that it takes too much of my time. Now
is mainly something else. But the sentiment remained ...

It is different with fantasy because it is different with people because, for example, I started
from Sapkovski and I'm still "infected"
People like it because it is a world in which one would like to live... I would
like ...
And you?

My love of fantasy started from the moment I saw the first
"The Witcher" commercials and I decided to read some of Sapkowski books before
the film will hit cinemas. And it started ... The film, of course, is a total shit. After Sapkowski, I read Tolkien, and then Marion Zimmer Bradley. For now, mine fascination of f. continues, we'll see what happens next. Thanks
the film "Lords..." has some new fans of f. who will also reach
other items of this genre.
